Anais M. Giasson

Anais practices in the areas of governance, employment, and policy in support of self-determination for First Nations and Indigenous organizations. Issues of healthcare, education, and community development comprise this work. Anais also assists employers throughout Ontario as a workplace investigator.

In addition to her Juris Doctor from Lakehead University, Anais holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Winnipeg. She has also completed a Certificate in Mining Law through Osgoode Hall.

With her personal and professional life grounded in the north, Anais stays involved in the community through various initiatives including as a coach for Lakehead University’s Kawaskimhon moot team. Formerly, she served on the Board of Directors of Our Kids Count for several years.
