Chris Gash
H.B.A., M.A., J.D. (“Chris”)
Associate Lawyer

Chris is the newest addition to the team at Edwards Bell Jewitt LLP. Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Chris enjoyed a successful 10-plus year career in the automotive industry before attending Lakehead University in 2009, where he obtained a Master’s Degree in Sociology with specialization in Gerontology in 2014, and thereafter graduated from Lakehead University’s Bora Laskin Faculty of Law with First-Class standing in 2018. Chris was called to the Ontario Bar in September of 2018.
Over the course of his studies, Chris regularly volunteered for the City of Thunder Bay’s Long-Term Care & Senior Services department at Dawson Court, and he thoroughly enjoys spending time with seniors in our community and assisting with life enrichment activities.
Prior to joining our firm, Chris practiced in the areas of General Litigation, (including claims involving wrongful termination and constructive dismissal), Administrative Law, Human Resources, Labour and Employment, and Wills and Estates. Chris brings a broad range of knowledge in many different areas of law, which often intersect with the legal challenges facing our First Nations communities and clients.
Chris has travelled Northern Ontario extensively visiting family and friends and has established life-long connections throughout our region. Chris takes pride in being a true Northerner and a dedicated family man, and when he’s not assisting clients, you can find him enjoying the outdoors with his spouse and five children.
In addition to spending time with his family and friends, Chris enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting, playing guitar, and occasionally lacing up the skates and hitting the rink.
